Sigur Rós @ MoMA

Last night Current aired a forty five minute long video from Sigur Rós' performance at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The show took place on the Icelandic Independence Day in June. At around the 25 minute mark the band's brass section plays the Icelandic National Anthem. The rest of the set is full of Sigur Rós goodness. Video can be found after the jump.

Censor Bars: Zen and the Art of Dancing Naked Chicks

The Perpetually mediocre project the BPA, which is just a front for perpetually mediocre British psuedo-techno poseur ahole Fatboy Slim (whose real name is Quentin Cook, I told you he was mediocre), has a new video that you might enjoy. Fatboy Slim made his millions by peddling decent videos in the 90s overdubbed with nonthreatening dance beats. Apparently he's caught on that no one is paying attention to him anymore so he's come out with a new video.

You may be asking yourself, "Why should I care?" And I would counter that with a question of my own, "Do you like watching naked chicks dance?" Hey, everybody likes watching naked chicks dance, right? Of course, it's a no-brainer. So what's the catch?

Flight of the Conchords - Ladies of the World

Ladies of the World is the new video from the Flight of the Conchords. Their self titled album was released a few weeks ago. The music video can be found below:

Like Rock Band, but Different

I stumbled across this late one night. It is reactable (reac table). It's described as a new musical instrument, which may be true but for me (someone incapable of playing a musical instrument) it seems like a cross between a drum pad and a playstation. Kinda like Rock Band, but different...

Lykke Li - Youth Novels

I don't remember when I first heard the single for Little Bit or how I found it, but I'm glad I did. The full length album 'Youth Novels' just came out so I thought I'd write a little about it. First off, Lykke Li is from Sweden - which instantly makes her cool in my mind. Sweden, for those who don't know, is a magical land of atheist Viking descendants who enjoy giving the MPAA/RIAA a middle finger. Home to IKEA, The Pirate Bay and Saab, I never really fancied Sweden as a hotbed of good music - Viking Folk/Death Metal notwithstanding.
