Ever Wonder What People in Other Countries Complain About?

While doing my rounds on my normal forums and such, I came across a thread where people actually complain about their own country as opposed to bashing other peoples countries. The site is called Team Liquid and it's members are mostly Starcraft players and other various online games. I've been a member of the forum for well over 4 years myself. So what do gamers dislike about their countries? Well here are a few good ones that I found while reading...

Spain

Europe is turning to the right and my country is doing nothing against, it's even giving their votes to those retards. The last two European union bullshits about to get approved are: you can put in jail an illegal immigrant for 18 months without charges (and other mad shit to deal with immigration) and they want to extend the work week to 65 hours.

Fucking unbelievable, go back 20 years, yeah!!!

Austria

Politicians in Austria suck ass.

On the one hand, they think they know everything and govern "against" the people without ever considering what the people actually want (there were exactly two referendums and not a single public opinion poll since 1945!). They even change the constitution quite often, giving constitutional status to minor laws so that they can't be overturned by the constitutional court.

On the other hand, they don't have the balls to stand up against anything the EU dictates at all. They'd rather have their own people suffocate from transit than lose reputation on the international level, costing us our last bit of influence.

Canada

Well sucks for university students like myself.
I'm broke, not only myself but my family. Our income only is not enough to pay tuition and books and all that jazz. Student loans from my province give me only so much and the rest they expect me to pay. To do that, I need to work full-time all year long which means my grades can't be as good as a student with free time.

There's so many factors that they just don't give a ish about. Just wish they didn't make the "student loan" shit so optimistic;

"You can go to university without financial troubles! We are giving you an opportunity"

So I take whatever little they give me, barely get time to study to pay for the rest of the bills and I'm behind often because of that. That makes me worried because I have to worry about getting into programs that I want to get the future job I want to make the money and connections I want. Without academic improvement, I feel like I'm stuck and will finish poorly with a large debt.

Why can't they just provide the money upfront, help me with maximum assistance. If they aren't going to do so, then fucking say so from the start. Fucking morons. (Loans for STUDENTS, is not something that should include small print and shit that no body ever reads anyway. Why would you, the government want to fuck over your young students.)

Denmark

Sucky, sucky government messing up our welfare, by cutting shit left and right. The fact that the Danish peoples party account for 1/7th of all votes, meaning that there are way too many racists in this country. The fact that we actually have a website promoting the nature of our country, despite it being the most dull thing on earth. After having our embassy bombed people have now gone American in our fear of terrorism: I really thought we were smarter. The thing that annoys me the most is probably everyones fancy of the absolutely awful music/films: as long as it off some big American movie-slash-music company, it's sure to be quality right? -.-;

USA

It's illegal to play online poker here.. but you can buy a lottery ticket.

(My biggest problem with the USA as well!)

FUCK our spread out roads which means our 4 dollars a gallon of gas has to be spent 3 times as much to get anywhere
FUCK the cities and states that try to deny rights of citizens because they think they're a separate country
FUCK the government for spinning everything around when it comes to their contract with the people
FUCK the soccer moms in huge ass suvs flying through neighborhoods on the LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD!
FUCK all this flooding
FUCK our biased media machine of bullshit that makes up whatever they wanna make up
FUCK the 2 party system
FUCK the suburbanites who care about nothing other than a green lawn and a white plastic fence
FUCK!

Great Britain

Great my arse!!

I see the Americans complaining about Petrol/Diesel prices, ever been to the UK at all? We Pay £1.30 per litre for Petrol. Works out as $11 per gallon. Pretty expensive?

Quite a few foreigners and illegal immigrants are now descending to the UK now, far too many in people’s eyes. They all want come to the UK because we're soft as hell.

"Welcome to the UK, we will provide you accommodation, free health care, a job and free education"

It's a joke!

You seen how many Poles/Lithuanians and other Eastern European people now working in the UK?

No offense guys, but it’s true!

We give asylum to certain people, who then criticise the UK, excuse me? We gave you a better life from the shithole you came from and now your preaching to people about killing British Citizens and criticising the way British People live? Very strange!

Tax and VAT is a major problem here too! It’s ridiculous how much Tax we pay on Clothes, Petrol, Alcohol, Cigarettes and so on.

Romania

Average wage - €400 (maybe €600 in Bucharest) (I'm being very generous)
Crummy 2 bedroom flat to rent in Bucharest - €500
Crummy 2 bedroom flat to buy in Bucharest - €100k

NSFW result - I'm 24 and still living with my parents

Germany

The freedom of communication over the web is a thorn in the eye for many politicians... they want more surveillance.

Our interior minister is the biggest piece of shit ever, he wants something called "online surveillance", meaning police access to peoples' computers. You can probably guess why, he says it's for better protection against terrorists etc... always the same bullshit. Fear of terror = more surveillance. This basically means installing trojans on peoples' computers. Or wiretapping hardware. Apart from the fact that it'll never work with people who know how to prevent stuff like this (including criminals), it would also introduce major security issues (other people getting access, abuse, etc...). This guy is just plain mad, but apparently you can get away with a lot when you mention it's just protection from terrorism. Everyone hates that man, and he should have been fired long ago for even mentioning something as anti-democratic as this, but he's always continuing this discussion.

Also, the music and film industry are lobbying like mad because they're dying and they want to blame it all on the customers and filesharers instead of adjusting to the new situation (people want easy downloads, free of DRM and in a common format like MP3). They want the ISPs to act as some kind of "net police" who cut net access for filesharers and stuff like that. They also want easier access to customer data from the ISPs. Basically, the industry wants to play police. Same situation as in many other countries. Most ISPs don't want to do that though.

There are also a few good things happening, for example the cancellation of study costs (sp?). But nearly everything that has to do with communication/computers/internet is completely going down the drain, and we're slowly heading towards a surveillance state because of the oh-so-dangerous terrorism. If you ask me, the terrorism has already won over us, because our politicians are scared as shit (or at least they act like it) and restrict our freedom even more. Terrorists don't even have to do anything anymore. We're fucked.

Norway

My country sucks ass because we all have it so great there's nothing to complain about anymore.

(Damn Norwegians, they do have a wonderful country!)

Now when you think about how bad your country is, you can look and see what other countries have to deal with:

"Gas being at 4$ a gallon in the US...OMG it's 11$ a gallon in the UK!"

Then you get the counter argument:

"The UK has better public transit, and the roads are less spread out so you don't eat your gas as much as us Americans!"

And so on and so forth.
