Christian Bale as John Connor has to be the best idea,,,EVER!!! It's a scientifically proven fact that Christian Bale is awesome. You may remember him from such awesome movies as "The Machinist," "Batman Begins," and "American Psycho." You may not remember him from "The Dark Knight" because some a-hole named Heath Ledger died of an emo drug overdose. Personally I think Bale would have made a fine Joker, he does crazy pretty well... Hell, they should have just filmed "The Dark Knight" with Christian Bale playing every part. But I digress...
Hey, remember Terminator? Not the first movie, but the good one... No, not the third one either. Yeah, Terminator 2, that movie was awesome. It's a shame they didn't bother to make an effort with Terminator 3. I'm hoping Terminator 4 (read: Terminator Salvation) will right all of the lameness of Terminator 3. This movie is off to a good start. A trailer was released onto the internets today and it looks pretty awesome. The trailer suffers from "ZOMG QUICK CUTS" syndrome and about half of all the frames in the video are completely black. What you can make out in the trailer though is pretty awesome. We get to see an explosion in the desert, a skull being smashed under a tank tread, and a couple of robots. That's about all there is, but it doesn't take much to get people all hot and bothered about a new Terminator movie.
So what are you looking for in another Terminator movie? I think this has to be about the beginning of the 'human resistance' part of the story. We know pretty much everything else. The last movie ended with the nuclear holocaust so I'm assuming this picks up pretty much where that left off, albeit a few years later.
